Sr. Design Engineer - Mechanical

We specialize in designing and manufacturing specialty, high-performance electronic cables, connectors, and assemblies, products that are trusted worldwide in critical military applications, including airplanes, helicopters, UAVs, and ground vehicles.Drive new product development and elevate existing designs through technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement as a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer. You’ll blend analytical rigor with hands-on engineering, incorporating customer feedback to deliver products that meet market and regulatory demands.Additional Responsibilities and Opportunities:Lead mechanical design projects from concept through release, ensuring performance, cost, and manufacturability goals are achieved.Complete advanced engineering tasks, including formal support requests and design reviews.Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the engineering team.Implement continuous improvement initiatives and lead Root Cause Analysis sessions.Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience in product development.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (advanced degree preferred).Strong expertise in engineering principles, simulation tools, and 3D CAD systems.Design concept creativity, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.PIC Wire & Cable, an Angelus Company, is headquartered in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
