Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour Variable Shifts, Primarily PM or Nights | Rotating | Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a combined Med-Surg/ICU unit with a typical census of 8–10 patients in a 25-bed critical access hospital setting
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5 on Days/Evenings and 1:6–7 on Evenings/Nights
• Read and interpret telemetry strips as part of ongoing patient monitoring
• Occasionally float to other departments to assist with non-patient-load tasks such as vital sign checks; may float to other regional locations
• Be available for on-call assignments during low census periods, with call-back minimum of 2 hours if recalled to the facility
• Adhere to facility infection control policies, including masking requirements during flu season if declining applicable vaccinations

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
• BLS certification through ARC or AHA (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• PALS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Emergency Department (ED) or ICU nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR
