Development & Construction Manager

Macdonald & Company is exclusively partnered with a growing, entrepreneurial real estate development firm in Atlanta to appoint a Development & Construction Manager. This is a high-impact role within a small, vertically integrated platform delivering a diverse portfolio of projects including horizontal infrastructure and land development, base building repositioning, ground-up construction, and interior build-outs. The position offers direct exposure to principals and meaningful upside within a business that values initiative and ownership. The Opportunity The Development & Construction Manager will lead construction management efforts across the active portfolio while supporting predevelopment activities on new deals. The successful candidate will operate across the full lifecycle of projects, taking responsibility for execution, coordination, and financial oversight. Key Responsibilities Lead construction management across multiple projects and scopes Manage budgets, schedules, contracts, documentation, pay applications, change orders, and project close-out Oversee design processes with consultant teams; review drawings and budgets at key milestones Coordinate with general contractors on pricing and execution Work directly with company principals on execution of existing developments Support predevelopment activities including feasibility analysis, market review, cost estimation, design coordination, and pricing Candidate Profile 5–8 years of relevant development and construction management experience Experience across interior renovations preferred Strong project management capability with the ability to handle multiple priorities Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take ownership Detail-oriented with strong written and interpersonal communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Macdonald & Company
