Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the certification of a certified police officer through the Department of Criminal Justice Services.
- Meet compliance standards by following regulatory requirements established by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the Department of Energy (DOE).
- Ensure access control of personnel, materials, and packages entering or leaving restricted areas.
- Protect classified material and sensitive assets critical to national security.
- Remain vigilant and prepared to respond to security threats and emergencies.
- Take on additional duties as assigned to contribute to the overall security efforts.
What You Need to Succeed:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferably a Virginia DCJS Certified Law Enforcement Officer.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to complete physical agility tests, physical exams, psychological evaluations, and drug screenings.
- U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) "Q" clearance.
