Mechanical Project Manager 
Location: Plano, TX (Dallas-Fort Worth Projects)
Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 (Experience Dependent)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC, plumbing, and retrofit projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across both construction and service environments, managing HVAC equipment, piping, and duct installation while adapting to evolving project specifications and schedules. This individual will play a key role in ensuring projects are executed with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and workmanship.

We are a full-service mechanical contractor specializing in HVAC, plumbing, process piping, and equipment installation. The team supports new construction, renovation, and retrofit projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and delivering dependable service that keeps facilities operating smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical HVAC and plumbing projects from preconstruction through completion
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure project success
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost controls
• Oversee installation of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and related equipment
• Review drawings and specifications to identify scope gaps and constructability challenges
• Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and overall project documentation
• Oversee procurement of equipment, materials, and long-lead items
• Support installation efforts including plumbing rough-in, fixture installation, and mechanical system startup

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical project management (HVAC and/or plumbing)
• Experience on commercial construction or retrofit projects
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and mechanical equipment
• Familiarity with plumbing systems, including rough-in and fixture installation
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple project teams

Preferred

• Experience in both construction and service-based mechanical environments
• Background in industrial, process piping, or medical gas systems
• Familiarity with HVAC equipment selection and system design coordination
• Experience managing renovation or retrofit projects in occupied facilities
• Experience working for a mechanical contractor in the Texas market
