Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.Experience Requirements Experience operating manufacturing or production equipment. Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation. Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards. Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.Responsibilities Meet daily production targets Change screens every hour Catch and recycle materials from the screen changer, diverter, and vent Skim water holding tanks hourly Keep extruder vent clear at all times Complete all required paperwork accurately Assist feeder operations to maintain a full extruder Properly package pellets using appropriate boxes and skids Clean Gaylord liners and weigh finished product Fill out and apply PRT labels Store finished materials and reprocess overflow as needed Maintain a clean and organized work areaPreferred Qualifications Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred. Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Extruder Operator.Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
