Lead Infant Childhood Teacher

Early Childhood Teacher Department: Childcare Reports To: Director of Childcare Schedule: Monday – Friday – Holidays off Salary: $24.00+ DOE, Non‑Exempt/Hourly Bayview Intergenerational Childcare Center (ICC) is a childcare center located inside Bayview Retirement Community in Seattle. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will work directly with children while also interacting with older adult residents, creating a unique intergenerational learning environment that supports children’s social development, empathy, and community engagement. Responsibilities include: Planning and delivering developmentally appropriate classroom activities that encourage learning and creativity. Fostering meaningful connections between children and older adult residents through shared arts, gardening, and storytelling. Supporting daily classroom routines and ensuring a safe, organized learning space. Implementing and evaluating the curriculum in partnership with the Lead Teacher and team members. Ensuring compliance with licensing standards, health and safety regulations, and child‑care best practices. Maintaining open communication with parents and families and addressing concerns promptly. Participating in ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities. Qualifications High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED). Associate of Arts degree, Child Development Associate degree, or equivalent, with willingness to pursue additional credentials. Minimum licensing requirements met or exceeded (CPR, HIV/AIDS, First Aid, Food Handlers Permit). Minimum of 18 years of age and confidentiality with parent/child information. Strong communication, problem‑solving, flexibility, and patience. Enthusiasm, sense of humor, and a collaborative spirit.
