Sr Electrical Project Engineer

Job Details:

Senior Electrical Project Engineer -

Own the healthcare projects everyone talks about

Design the power behind cutting-edge healthcare spaces

You’re the one clients trust when the stakes are high, the systems are complex, and there’s no room for guesswork. This role puts you in the driver’s seat on healthcare projects that people in your community will actually recognize.

As a Senior Electrical Project Engineer, you’ll lead projects from first concept through construction, with in-house coordination across multiple disciplines. You’re not just redlining drawings – you’re shaping strategy, guiding design, and steering the entire team.

You’ll supervise and mentor electrical staff day to day, elevating both their technical skills and their careers.

And you’ll be the face of the project with clients – bringing technical excellence, managing schedules, and driving successful outcomes.

If you’re a seasoned electrical PE in consulting and you’re ready to own your projects, we should talk.

What You'll Work On

You’ll lead the electrical side of complex, high-visibility healthcare and built-environment projects from start to finish.

• Healthcare facilities and medical environments
• All sizes and types of building projects in the built environment
• Full project lifecycle from concept through construction completion
• Multi-discipline coordination with in-house project partners
• Client-facing technical leadership and representation
• Electrical systems strategy, performance, and constructability
• Projects where construction cost and life cycle analysis matter

You’ll be at the center of the conversation on electrical design, constructability, lifecycle cost, and long-term performance.

The core challenge: balance technical excellence, cost, and schedule while leading the team to a clean delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading electrical engineering on projects from initial concept through completion of construction
• Supervising staff’s day-to-day responsibilities within the electrical discipline
• Mentoring junior and mid-level engineers in both technical skills and career development
• Managing project teams and schedules to drive on-time, successful outcomes
• Interfacing directly with clients and representing the firm at project meetings
• Applying deep electrical engineering expertise with awareness of parallel disciplines
• Evaluating construction costs and conducting or contributing to life cycle analysis
• Coordinating closely with multiple in-house disciplines for fully integrated designs
• Taking responsibility for all sizes and types of projects within your portfolio
• Managing sufficient project revenue to lead and support a full design team
• Providing technical oversight and quality control on deliverables
• Contributing to a culture of continuous learning, including engaging in provided training

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 11 years of experience in the architectural engineering consulting environment
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Engineer expertise in the electrical discipline
• Knowledge of parallel disciplines in the built environment
• Knowledge of construction costs and life cycle analysis
• Proven ability to manage clients and represent the firm at meetings
• Experience managing sufficient revenue to lead a full design team
• Ability to supervise and mentor engineering staff
• Comfort leading projects from concept through construction completion

Why This Opportunity?

This is a senior seat with real influence – you’re leading the work, guiding the team, and owning the client relationship on high-impact healthcare projects.

You’ll have in-house multi-discipline partners, training at all levels, and the support to run projects the right way, not just the fast way.

On top of a rewarding role and competitive salary, you’ll see merit-based incentive bonus potential, 401(k) match, and a full suite of medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage, plus 9 holidays, flexible schedules, and work-from-home options.

Important Requirements

This is a hybrid role that requires two days per week in-office.
