Staff Research Associate I - Hematology/Oncology

Description The Staff Research Associate I (SRA I) will assist in preparation, management and daily use of critical laboratory resources including frozen human tissue bank, hybridomas and human cell line stocks. This position will entail the isolation of biological materials, (DNA, RNA and protein) from precious human tissues, cell lines and xenografts. High-quality management and cataloging of these resources using relational computer database will be required. The job will entail a large amount of tissue culture work, including cell maintenance type work, as well as cell proliferation assays. In addition, the position will require the generation of Western blots, PCR, RT-PCR assay, DNA gel electrophoresis, PCR product purification, DNA gel isolation, generation of expression vectors through molecular cloning, including DNA mini & maxiprep and restriction enzyme digestion. Generation of cell line clones through molecular cloning and lentiviral system will also be required. Salary Range: $30.12 - $35.92 Hourly #J-18808-Ljbffr UCLA Outpatient Clinics
