CNC Operator

Position: CNC Machinist – Richards Industrials Location: Cincinnati, OH (Richards Industrials – Cincinnati, OH 45209) Reports to: Production Manager Responsibilities Operate and produce CNC machining operations within scheduled time frames. Load and unload parts, selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures and jaws for efficient setup. Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability. Use precision measuring instruments (micrometer and dial caliper) to verify machine settings accuracy and detect malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance machining. Adjust machine controls to maintain part process accuracy. Post edits to CNC programs to fine‑tune performance with assistance from CNC Operator/Programmer, lead or programmer; submit changes to programmer. Perform first‑piece in‑process inspection. Set up machines for new or existing parts. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years CNC machining experience. General PC knowledge; knowledge of AS400 system. Knowledge of CNC Turning/Mill machine operations. Ability to handle 50‑lb to 200‑lb valve bodies with hand trucks, lifts, conveyors or hoists. Ability to stand for long periods up to at least eight hours. Willingness to work weekends and overtime when scheduled. Personal Characteristics Strong work ethic. Calm and resilient.
