Forklift Operator

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to safely and efficiently move products throughout our distribution facility. This role plays a key part in supporting accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory management using sit-down forklifts and inventory tracking systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to transport products safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse
• Accurately load and unload materials from railcars, shipping containers, and trailers
• Ensure all shipments are picked, staged, and prepared according to order requirements
• Handle materials carefully to prevent damage to products, equipment, and facility structures
• Use inventory tracking software to locate and manage product inventory
• Complete all shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation accurately and legibly
• Follow established procedures for picking, loading, unloading, and material handling
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Adhere to all safety protocols and proper forklift operating procedures
• Perform frequent twisting and turning while handling materials and operating equipment

Schedule & Physical Requirements

• Full-time position with 8-hour shifts
• Approximately 75% sitting (operating equipment) and 25% standing
• Ability to twist and turn the body frequently throughout the shift

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven forklift operating experience in a warehouse or distribution setting
• Experience with sit-down forklifts
• Strong material handling skills, including loading, unloading, and picking
• Ability to safely load/unload products from trailers, containers, and railcars
• Experience using inventory tracking systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment and documentation
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center
• Familiarity with inventory control and picking processes
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures and moderate to heavy noise levels

Work Environment

This role is based in an active warehouse environment that may be:

• Hot and humid during summer months and cold during winter
• Moderately to heavily noisy
• Dusty or industrial in nature

Work is performed primarily on a forklift, with regular use of material handling equipment and inventory systems. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced distribution setting while adhering to all safety guidelines.

Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Faribault, MN.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $44000.00 - $47800.00/yr. Health, Dental and Vision benefits packages available for review.

Workplace Type: This is a fully onsite position in Faribault, MN.
