Job Description

Server Skills & Qualifications

• Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of server experience in a fast-paced environment. Korean/Japanese BBQ experience is highly preferred.
• Attire & Attitude: Must maintain a positive, professional demeanor and demonstrate a strong ability to collaborate within a team.
• Certifications: Must possess a valid California Food Handler Card and a Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certificate.

Primary Responsibilities

• Service Excellence: Take food and beverage orders accurately, providing detailed information regarding menu items and ingredients.
• Operational Standards: Deliver all food and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) in strict accordance with company quality and presentation standards.
• Guest Engagement: Maintain a guest-first focus, anticipating needs and ensuring a seamless dining experience.
• Technical Proficiency: Accurately record orders into the POS system (Micros) and process guest payments efficiently.
• Quality Control: Inspect all food and beverage items for accuracy and quality before they reach the guest.
• Compliance: Strictly follow age-verification protocols by requesting identification for all alcohol orders.
• Station Maintenance: Organize, clean, and restock beverage stations, side stations, and storage areas to support daily operations.
• Communication: Follow management directives and proactively seek clarification to ensure task accuracy.
• Versatility: Perform necessary side work and assist with additional reasonable requests from management as needed.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Environment: Work is performed within a restaurant. Must be comfortable in an indoor environment with varying noise levels, illumination, and temperature changes.
• Physical Stamina: Requires prolonged standing and mobility for 5+ hours per shift.
• Manual Dexterity: Requires frequent bending, reaching, and strong eye-hand coordination.
• Lifting & Mobility: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and transport, push, or maneuver items weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Communication & Literacy: Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers, and have the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols for safety (SDS) and operational labels.
