To support the growth of Chess.com's mobile platform, the full-time Android Developer will develop and maintain high-quality Android applications, ensuring seamless gaming experiences for over 185 million global chess players in a fully remote environment. Key responsibilities Develop and maintain Chess.com's flagship Android application to enhance mobile experiences for users Design and implement shared codebase architecture to improve development efficiency and code reusability Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and optimize user experience Required qualifications 3+ years of professional Android development experience with production applications Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK development Hands-on experience with Android Architecture Components including ViewModels, Room, and Navigation Proficiency with asynchronous programming using Coroutines or RxJava Experience shipping Android applications to Google Play Store
