Details Work in a 28-bed Cardiovascular ICU Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15 13-week contract assignment Patient population is approximately 80% cardiac surgery and 20% advanced heart failure Care for high-risk cardiac surgery patients including open heart recovery, heart transplant, LVAD implant, ECMO, Impella, IABP, and CRRT cases Utilizes Swan Ganz catheters and CCO monitoring Uses Cerner/COMPASS EMR system May float to MICU, SICU, Medical, or Cardiac Stepdown units as needed Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start Preferred experience managing advanced cardiac devices such as IABP, Impella, and Swan-Ganz catheters Additional Information Deliver direct patient care through evidence-based interventions aligned with clinical standards Implement and monitor individualized care plans, adjusting treatment to optimize patient outcomes Administer physician and nursing orders promptly while maintaining regulatory compliance Lead discharge planning efforts in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team Navy scrub color required Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply and could affect pay rate Copy of driver's license and two professional references required for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-750285.
