Required Qualifications

• Professional software development experience

• Strong modern frontend application development experience

• Experience building production web applications using Svelte, React, Vue, Angular, or a similar framework

• Strong JavaScript and/or TypeScript skills

• Experience creating responsive, data-rich user interfaces and complex user workflows

• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component design, state management, browser behavior, and API integration patterns

• Experience designing or consuming REST APIs

• Working experience with Java and Spring Boot in production environments

• Strong database and data-modeling fundamentals

• Experience with MongoDB or a similar document database

• Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows

• Experience writing automated tests for frontend and full-stack applications

• Strong troubleshooting and production-debugging skills

• Ability to independently investigate and solve complex technical challenges

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and product-thinking skills

Frontend Experience

Frontend expertise is central to this role. While we use Svelte and SvelteKit today, we welcome candidates with strong experience in React, Vue, Angular, or similar modern frameworks who can quickly become productive in our stack.

Experience designing user workflows, dashboards, operational applications, data visualizations, reusable component systems, and data-heavy interfaces is particularly valuable. We are looking for an engineer who cares not only about whether a feature works, but also whether it is clear, efficient, responsive, accessible, and maintainable.

Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:

• Svelte and SvelteKit in production applications

• Frontend performance optimization, accessibility, testing, and design systems

• Digital health technology

• Clinical research or clinical trials

• Medical devices or connected health platforms

• Wearables and IoT ecosystems

• High-frequency time-series data systems

• Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), NFC, or mobile SDK integrations

• Native iOS development (Swift) or native Android development (Kotlin)

• Apple Health or Android Health Connect integrations

• Offline-capable applications and synchronization architectures

• Regulated software or data-quality-sensitive environments

• AWS cloud infrastructure and production operations
