Job Title: General Laborer Precast Concrete Manufacturing

Job Description

This role involves performing a wide range of hands-on duties in an industrial manufacturing environment focused on precast concrete products. You will work as part of a team to safely and efficiently strip and clean concrete forms, prepare steel molds, perform basic carpentry tasks, and maintain a clean, organized facility while helping to produce high-quality precast concrete components.

Responsibilities

• Strip and clean concrete forms and finished concrete products to prepare them for reuse or further processing.
• Prepare steel molds for filling with concrete, including cleaning, assembling, and ensuring proper setup according to specifications.
• Perform basic carpentry tasks related to formwork and mold preparation using hand and power tools.
• Use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in daily tasks.
• Support general construction-style labor activities associated with precast concrete production.
• Carry out facility maintenance and housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Follow simple written instructions and verbal directions to complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and maintain high quality standards for all precast concrete products.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs periodically throughout the day.

Essential Skills

• Experience in manufacturing or construction environments preferred.
• Ability to perform general labor tasks in an industrial setting.
• Basic carpentry skills related to formwork and mold preparation.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
• Knowledge of basic math and measurements to support accurate production work.
• Ability to read and write simple instructions and follow documented procedures.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members.
• Capability to lift up to 40 lbs periodically throughout the day and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Reliability and willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor conditions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience working with concrete or precast concrete products is an asset.
• Experience in construction trades or industrial labor is beneficial.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong work ethic and ability to stay productive in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This position is based in an industrial manufacturing setting that includes both indoor and outdoor work areas focused on precast concrete molds and products. The role involves heavier, physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, and working around large molds and concrete components. You will regularly use hand tools and power tools and work near active production equipment. The environment can be noisy and may expose you to varying temperatures and weather conditions when working outdoors. Appropriate work attire should support safety, comfort, and mobility in a hands-on, physically active role.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cannon Falls, MN.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
