The Lantern Columbia is seeking a dependable and energetic Food Runner/Busser to join The Ladder 13 team in Columbia, SC. In this role, you will assist the Food Servers in delivering an exceptional dining experience by ensuring timely delivery of food and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders promptly and accurately to customers.
• Clear and reset tables quickly to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
• Assist servers and kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining and service areas.
• Roll silverware.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to guest needs efficiently.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
• Ability to follow the Steps of Service and understand the role the Food Runner/Busser plays in the guest experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

About the Company

The Lantern Columbia is a new-build hotel in the heart of Columbia, SC that will house the lobby-based Ladder 13 restaurant. As a new boutique hotel, restaurant, and bar, we aim to deliver a casual yet sophisticated experience to our guests while employing a significant number of individuals with disabilities. The Lantern Columbia thesis is to provide guests and patrons with an exceptional hospitality experience with this unique employment model.
