Job Responsibilities
- Create Customized Treatment Plans: Assess patients' individual needs and design personalized therapy strategies to empower them in achieving their functional objectives
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based methods that boost patients' motor skills, cognitive functions, and daily living capabilities
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work hand-in-hand with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care
- Educate Patients and Their Families: Guide patients and their caregivers in effective therapy techniques to ensure continued improvement is possible in a home setting
- Track Progress: Maintain thorough documentation of patient development and adapt treatment approaches when necessary to guarantee successful outcomes
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Encouragement and support for continuing education or additional certifications
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is mandatory
