About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights 7a-7p Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in emergency department License: Current Registered Nursing License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Must not be a previous employee. Must have at least 2 years of experience in the emergency department. Must be willing and able to work charge nurse and preceptor roles if needed. Candidates with licensure issues will not be considered. Description: The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team. Responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all areas of the unit. The emergency department offers a full spectrum of emergency care and a separate chest pain center. The RN will be responsible for assessing patients upon admission and throughout their stay. Administer IV medications, therapy, and blood as needed. Provide patient education. Document nursing care actions, teaching, observations, and patient responses. Must be flexible and adapt to a fast-paced environment. Holiday coverage is required.
