Job Summary: Cabinet Drafting & Design is responsible for creating detailed cabinet and millwork drawings used for estimating, manufacturing, and installation. This position works closely with project managers, designers, sales staff, production personnel, and customers to translate project requirements into accurate, buildable shop drawings and production documentation. The Cabinet Drafter ensures all drawings meet company standards, customer expectations, industry specifications, and manufacturing capabilities while maintaining project schedules and deadlines. Working Hours Required: Monday Thru Thursday 7:00 – 4:30. Friday 7:00 – 11:00. On the job training provided as needed.

Job Duties:

1) Proficiently use Cabinet Vision to provide shop drawings, job books and design ideas

2) Ensure any CAD details are to include all views and dimensions necessary for manufacturing

3) Create, organize and store drawings using Alpine Cabinetry’s software system

4) Manage submittals and shop drawings to ensure profitability and accuracy

5) Provide clerical oversight and project management on residential/commercial cabinetry and millwork projects

6) Coordinate with clients, designers, builders and installer to ensure project accuracy

7) Work with management and supervisors to collectively produce profitable cabinetry

8) Supply information for projects such as measurements, selections, drawings, dates and addresses

9) Regularly visit construction sites to get firsthand information

10) Calculate costs and amounts of material necessary for production and provide proper lead times

11) Maintain high standards of quality while managing workflows and priorities

Technical Requirements:

• Proficiency in Auto CAD, Revit, Sketch-up, 2020 Design and Cabinet Vision
• Ability to produce elevations, floor plans and 3D renderings
• Basic knowledge of cabinet construction and installation methods
• Strong understanding of design principles to create functional and aesthetically pleasing cabinetry
• High capability of presenting designs and quotes clearly

Requirements:

• High school diploma required; degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field is a plus
• 2-5 years' experience is preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license for site visits
• Keep workstation and desk organized and orderly
• Perform all other duties and assignments as requested by management
