Senior Project Manager

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Chicago, IL. Key Responsibilities:
- Senior Project Manager will lead end-to-end project management for large, complex application development initiatives
- Build and maintain detailed project plans using tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet
- Manage project dependencies, resource allocation, timelines, and change impacts
- Maintain and manage RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
- Manage project budgets exceeding $10M, including forecasting, burn rate tracking, and budget vs. actual reporting
- Develop and present executive-level status updates and dashboards using PowerPoint or Google Slides
- Translate detailed project information into clear, high-level business summaries for senior leadership
- As a Senior Project Manager, you will ensure alignment of project outcomes with business value, including revenue impact, cost savings, and process improvements
- Facilitate clear communication and manage stakeholder expectations, including difficult conversations when needed
- 10+ years of IT Project Management experience in structured, complex environments
- Strong application development project management background
- Proven experience managing large budgets ($10M+)
- Experience presenting to senior and executive leadership
- Strong proficiency with project planning tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)
- Strong organizational skills and sense of urgency
- Calm, professional, and effective under pressure
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence without authority
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- PMI certification preferred (PMP or equivalent)
