Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive, age- and disease-specific patient assessments in a systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status
• Recognize and respond to changes in clinical and diagnostic patient status, initiating appropriate interventions as needed
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care with patients, families, nursing colleagues, and interdisciplinary team members
• Administer medications utilizing bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safe delivery
• Provide continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient assessments, plan-of-care, interventions, and evaluation of rendered care
• Support multi-disciplinary patient discharge processes to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Active New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse License
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum of six (6) months of relevant nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in CVOR or a related surgical/perioperative nursing environment
• Familiarity with evidence-based nursing practices and current standards of care
