Our Tampa Vascular Surgery Center specializes in procedures that help patients maintain critical vascular access for life-sustaining treatments. We're seeking a skilled and motivated Per Diem Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) to support our physicians and clinical team in a fast-paced, patient-centered ambulatory surgery setting.

What You'll Do

As a Surgical Technologist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring safe, efficient procedures and exceptional patient care by:

• Preparing procedure rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Maintaining and protecting the sterile field throughout procedures
• Assisting physicians during vascular access interventions by passing instruments and anticipating procedural needs
• Preparing and positioning patients for procedures
• Performing surgical counts with the clinical team to ensure patient safety
• Cleaning, sterilizing, and organizing instruments and equipment
• Monitoring for breaks in sterile technique and helping maintain procedural standards
• Assisting with patient transport, discharge activities, and room turnover
• Tracking procedural supplies and medications
• Ensuring procedure rooms remain stocked and ready for upcoming cases
• Supporting a positive patient experience while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

Preferred:

• Surgical Technology certificate, diploma, or associate degree
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), NCCT, or AST certification
• At least one year of operating room or procedural experience
• Experience working in an ambulatory surgery center, vascular, interventional radiology, or surgical setting
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems
