Specimen Processor

Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor to prepare and route laboratory specimens for testing in a high-throughput environment. The role involves specimen handling, labeling, data entry, and shipping in a fast-paced diagnostic laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and route to appropriate staging areas
• Unpack, identify, label, pack and ship specimens to testing facilities
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Resolve and document problem specimens
• Meet department activity and production goals

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and able to pass color blindness test
• Strong data entry and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
• Proficient in MS Office
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs
• 1+ year experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment (preferred)
