Job Summary

Our client is seeking a LIMS Administrator for a contract position in Dallas, TX. This role supports laboratory operations by troubleshooting system issues, configuring the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and improving workflow efficiency. The administrator will work closely with laboratory staff and the LIMS Solution Support Group to translate operational needs into technical requirements, manage support tickets, and oversee system testing, validation, and implementation.

Job Description

• Work with laboratory personnel and commercial teams to identify LIMS bottlenecks, eliminate manual workarounds, and improve daily operational efficiency
• Provide frontline user support for routine questions, login issues, configurations, data entry, reporting, and other functional issues
• Maintain system settings and configure master data, including users, contracts/quotes, analyses and variations, instruments and maintenance, products and specifications, and user role privileges
• Serve as the primary technical and operational liaison between laboratory staff and the internal or external LIMS Solution Support Group
• Gather and translate laboratory business and testing needs into functional requirements, technical specifications, and reproducible test cases for developers and support engineers
• Submit and track formal support tickets, prioritizing urgent production needs
• Validate configuration builds in test environments, coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with key users, and ensure successful deployment to production

Skills Required

• 2+ years of hands-on experience configuring, programming, or supporting LIMS platforms, such as LabWare LIMS, within laboratory client environments
• 2+ years of hands-on laboratory bench experience in QA/QC, analytical testing, or contract lab operations, with experience as a local LIMS super-user, power user, or site administrator
• Ability to bridge laboratory operations and technical software development needs

• Self-starter with the ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic environment
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills
• Ability to track multiple tickets simultaneously, perform regression testing, and ensure changes are completed and verified

Education/Training/Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline, with 2+ years of hands-on laboratory bench experience in QA/QC, analytical testing, or contract lab operations and experience as a local LIMS super-user, power user, or site administrator
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent technical experience

Pay Rate/Salary

• $40.00-$45/hr. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors
