Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact eligibility, where applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in telemetry , critical care , cardiac cath lab , emergency nursing , or operating room settings
• Previous experience in cardiac interventional cath lab procedures required
• Experience scrubbing in for procedures required
• ACLS preferred at hire; must be obtained from an approved source prior to direct patient care and within 6 months of hire
• BLS certification required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced procedural nursing environment

Responsibilities

• Provide, coordinate, plan, and evaluate care for patients undergoing cardiac and interventional procedures
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards and policies
• Function independently as a scrub nurse and circulator in the cath lab
• Support diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath procedures, including complex and urgent cases
• Respond to emergency and urgent STEMI callbacks within required response times
• Participate in on-call coverage for weekends, nights, and holidays as assigned
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to promote safe, efficient, patient-focused care
• Educate patients and families while helping coordinate care across departments
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and compassionate bedside support
