Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position in Berlin, Vermont. This assignment is scheduled for 13-16 weeks, with shifts during daytime hours. The role requires a highly skilled OR nurse proficient in orthopedics and eye services, with a preference for scrub experience and recent Epic electronic medical records experience. The candidate must be prepared to work flexible schedules, including call shifts on weekends, and have at least two years of clinical experience in the specified specialties.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, Monday to Sunday, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in operating room nursing, with strong skills in ortho and eye service lines; experience in general, gynecology, and acceptable minimal eye experience.
  • EMR: Epic experience within the past 2 years (required and nonnegotiable).
• Preferred Qualifications: Scrub experience highly preferred; strong circulator skills acceptable.
• Additional Information:
  • Assignment duration: 13-16 weeks.
  • Travel (101 miles or more), radius (51-100 miles), or local (50 miles or less) options based on mileage measured by direct line.
  • Must be flexible with schedule, including every other weekend and on-call every 3-5 weekends as needed.
  • Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays; next orientation date to be confirmed.
  • All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained.
  • Complete employment history including bed count, EMR, and facility type required for submission.
  • Reliable transportation required; personal or rental vehicle recommended, equipped with all-season or snow tires from November to April.
