Working Title Assistant/Associate Professor of Ed Foundations / Accreditation Brief Position Overview The College of Education, Department of Education Theory and Practice at Montana State University Billings seeks a qualified candidate a) to teach undergraduate and graduate foundation courses, advise students, and supervise students in the field (.50) and b) to serve as an accreditation coordinator (.50). Candidates must hold a doctoral level degree in education. Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Education. ABD candidates are also eligible but must be completed with their degree within 18 months of hire Evidence of successful teaching in a higher education setting Experience teaching in a P-12 setting for at least 3 years Evidence of potential for scholarly activityEvidence of commitment to diversity and inclusivity Experience with analyzing and working with large data sets Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills Experience working with state and national accreditation Evidence of experience with data management software Specialized knowledge in the field of education foundations Experience working with a diverse range of adult and young adult learners Familiarity with supporting students in using the Common Core aligned State Standards Special Requirements Applicants will be reviewed and interviewed on an ongoing basis after the screening date.
