Make a meaningful difference in early childhood education by supporting students and families through specialized instruction and thoughtful assessment. This contract opportunity is designed for a dedicated Special Education Teacher eager to focus on PreK learners in a Resource Specialist Program (RSP) environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential
- Experience with PreK caseloads or early childhood special education
- Familiarity with assessment processes and documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational setting
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct PreK assessments for a small group of 5-6 students, focusing exclusively on evaluation and documentation
- Work in an RSP setting, providing expertise on eligibility, educational planning, and progress monitoring
- Collaborate closely with school staff, related service providers, and families to ensure full support for each learner
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Contribute to meetings to interpret assessment results and help develop action steps
- Participate in team discussions to ensure best practices in early intervention
