Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment using safe and effective problem-solving techniques. Your role will involve ensuring the mechanical aspects of plant and yard equipment are in optimal condition.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all mechanical aspects of plant and yard equipment.
• Communicate with supervisor regarding parts inventories and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience.
• 1+ year of electrical experience.
• 2+ years of industrial experience.
• Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulics, electrical, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with blueprint reading, repair, and preventive maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor and auger systems.
• Proficiency in power tools, overhead cranes, welding and fabrication.
• Knowledge of SMAW, GMAW, plasma torch, oxy/acetylene cutting.
• Ability to repair and operate diesel engines and wheel vehicles.
• Experience with lockout/tagout (LO/TO) procedures.
• Understanding of hot work permit and confined space procedures.
• Capability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, bobcats, aerial lifts, cranes, and yard tractors.
• Ability to troubleshoot minor electrical issues.
• Strong understanding of parts diagrams for equipment assembly/disassembly.
• Ability to work independently and committed to safety, customer satisfaction, and efficiency.
• Basic computer skills with experience using CMMS/IFS.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlestown, IN.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
