Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a MIG Welder in McDonough, GA. In this skilled role, you will be responsible for performing MIG welding on metal components, reading blueprints, assembling parts, and producing high-quality welds while maintaining safety and production standards. In a MIG Welder job, youll be responsible for:
Performing MIG welding on steel and other metal components according to specifications.
Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work orders to complete projects accurately.
Preparing materials by measuring, cutting, grinding, and fitting metal parts prior to welding.
Inspecting completed welds to ensure quality, strength, and compliance with company standards.
Operating welding equipment and hand tools safely while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Following all safety procedures and contributing to production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What youll need:
Previous MIG welding experience required.
Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
Welding certification is a plus but not required.
