About the Position

Job Title: Critical Care Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in critical care License: Active RN license in hand preferred Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience of 2:1 - Experience with Epic charting system Description: Position involves working in a critical care unit with a focus on medical, surgical, and cardiac critical care patients. Ratios in the unit are 2:1. The ideal candidate will have a variety of medical and surgical ICU patient care experience. The position requires the ability to work every other weekend. Candidates will need to float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital as needed. Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Charting is performed using the Epic system. Free charge nurse support is available in the unit. Critical thinking and strong assessment skills are essential for success in this role. The patient population primarily consists of adults with various critical health conditions. Teamwork and effective communication skills are crucial in this fast-paced environment.
