Coordinator of FoodTEC - Part Time, Grant Funded

Job Overview The Coordinator of FoodTEC supports the management and administration of the Orange County FoodTEC Workforce Development Program and reports directly to the Executive Director. This part‑time, grant‑funded position assists in building and sustaining the grant to exceed established goals and outcomes. The role helps develop short‑term, non‑degree credential programs, maintain partnerships, assist students, and coordinate food service operations. Key Responsibilities Provide fiscal oversight, monitor the grant budget, follow internal operational processes, and complete all operational workflows. Maintain program data collection, records, and evaluate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and student success rates. Coordinate marketing and outreach activities to promote the FoodTEC Program and recruit trainees. Develop and deliver program presentations to various audiences. Facilitate relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support program goals. Coordinate scheduling details for program events and meetings. Assist trainees with acceptance and program registration. Assist the Executive Director in evaluating and aligning curricula, job training programs, work‑based learning, and job placement. Identify and monitor student supportive services, including wraps such as child care, during and after the skills training program. Conduct labor market information analysis and environmental scanning to determine industry and workforce needs. Assist with hiring personnel, including consultants, to support grant activities. Attend industry, statewide, and local meetings, trainings, and events as needed. Coordinate food service operations related to the Orange County FoodTEC programs, including scheduling the use of the commercial kitchen for training and rental. Assist success coaches and instructors in coordinating hard and soft skills training for program trainees. Qualifications Associate’s degree or higher (Bachelor’s preferred). At least one year of experience in project coordination/administration. Knowledge and experience in program planning for adult learners in workforce development programs. Administrative experience in education, training, or workforce development program management. Ability to coordinate projects/initiatives with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Knowledge and understanding of KPIs and metrics to support planning and decision‑making. Strong communication skills, including public speaking and writing high‑quality reports. Commitment to equity and inclusion, and sensitivity to diversity issues in communication and interaction. Additional Information Position begins: January 2026. Salary: $25 to $28 per hour, commensurate with experience. This is a 12‑month, part‑time, grant‑funded position and is contingent upon the continued availability of funds.
