Concession ManagerThe Concession Manager is a supervisory employee responsible for overall management and operations of the concessions stand for high school extracurricular activities and special events. The manager will be responsible for inventory and purchasing, staffing and volunteer scheduling, cash management, as well as food and sanitation safety.Supervisor or Reports to: High School Administration / SuperintendentPart-TimeWage is $22 per hour20 – 25 hours per week (Exceptions dependent on administrative approval.) If multiple managers are hired these hours would be split.ExpectationsFollow directives from administration and take initiative in completing the duties and responsibilities of the position. Completion of the food safety (Safe Serve).Minimum QualificationHigh School Diploma or equivalentAbility to pass a fingerprint-based background check as required per school board policy.Duties and ResponsibilitiesInventory and PurchasingOrder food, drinks, and suppliesInventory and stock before games or eventsTrack expiration dates and reduce wasteSecure licensed food vendors for special events at administrative discretion (Food Trucks)Staff and Volunteer ManagementRecruit and schedule staff and volunteersTrain workers: Food safety, customer serviceSupervise workers during eventsCash ManagementFollow District policy and procedure for handling cashCount and balance cash after each eventSet food and beverage pricesReport profits to administrationSafety and SanitationFollow health department rules and regulationsKeep equipment clean and working properlyClean counters and floors after each eventStore food safelyOther duties as assigned.Equipment Used:Cleaning supplies, food supplies, and equipmentWork Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works inside but may be assigned to outside concession areasThe employee must be able to meet deadlines, sometimes with severe time constraints.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit, walk, and stand; twist at neck, bend at waist; kneel; reach.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.The employee is required to be able to hear conversations in moderate environments.May be required to lift or move up to 25 pounds of equipment/supplies.Mental/Motor Demands:The employee frequently exercises flexibility (ability to shift from one task to another).The employee frequently works within time constraints and maintains attentiveness intensity.The employee is frequently involved in social interactions which require oral and written communications.
