Position Description Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Glen Allen, VA to provide regional delivery services. The role offers weekly pay, competitive benefits, and a clear career path. Pay & Schedule $1251 or more per week Hourly rate: $31.29 Hours per week: 40–45 Safety bonus: $300 four times a year Performance bonus: $2000 annually Per diem: $50 with up to 2 nights out per week Overnight stays at Ryder hotels Paid training Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:00–6:00 AM dispatch Route & Equipment Solo delivery to VA, NC Regional route Tractor: Box truck 26' or Day Cab / Sleeper Trailer: Dry Van 53' Equipment: Manual pallet jack and lift gate Trucks are 36 months or newer; 24/7 roadside maintenance; company drivers fuel at over 800 facilities nationwide Freight: Touch – Commissary goods Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision after 30 days 80 hours PTO in first year, starting Day 1 (use or get paid) Uniforms, cell phone & boot allowance provided Drivers are Captain—make safety decisions; job protected 401(k) rollover with company match at 1 year 12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to eligibility) Employee discounts on tools, vehicles, travel, tech & more Requirements Minimum 21 years of age Pass a Ryder Drug Test Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check (includes drug/alcohol verification from previous employers for last 3 years) Pass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position Class A verifiable experience in a tractor–trailer or comparable vehicle 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years experience within the last 10 years Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures Important Note Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
