Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position involves onsite service throughout the academic year. You’ll participate in an initial prescreen before engaging in an in-person interview process. Qualifications:

• Valid Alabama Special Education (SPED) licensure (K-6 for elementary, 6-12 for secondary) as verified by the Alabama certification portal.
• Previous experience working with students in a self-contained classroom environment is highly valued.
• Ability to manage small classroom groups, differentiating instruction based on students’ abilities and needs.
• A collaborative mentality when working with colleagues, support staff, and families.
• Flexibility working with various elementary and/or high school caseloads.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction in self-contained classrooms with 4-10 students.
• Develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and maintain records in accordance with district policies.
• Foster a structured and nurturing classroom atmosphere.
• Collaborate with school teams and parents to optimize student success.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and district trainings.
