We are currently seeking a Software Development Advisor to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

Candidate will be responsible for supporting database lifecycle management activities such as migrations, upgrades and decommissions. The roles require candidate to have experience in the following area:

• Installation, Configuration, upgrade and Maintenance of SAP Sybase ASE, IBM DB2 LUW, SAP Sybase IQ , SAP Sybase Replication Server environment globally.
• Able to manage and execute database projects and sweeps independently.
• Regular interaction and relationship building with various regional DBA teams.
• Build Automation tools to reduce manual executions of daily activities by writing shell/python scripts.
• Troubleshooting database and infrastructure issues.
• Weekend support is a requirement and is done on a rotational basis.

Technology: SAP Sybase ASE (12.5.4->15.x->16.0), IBM DB2 LUW (9.1 to 10.5), SAP Sybase IQ (15->16), SAP Sybase replication (15.x), RedHat Linux (4.5->6.10->7->8)

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience as a DBA supporting large scale implementation
• Strong experience in SAP Sybase ASE / IBM DB2 LUW database administration, maintenance and implementation in a complex system environment
• Exposure to SAP Sybase ASE (12.x -> 16.0) database administration / Experience with IBM DB2 (9.x to 11.5) administration under Linux platform.
• Strong working knowledge on DBA tasks, troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Willing to work on weekend
• Strong team player, good communication and interpersonal skills
• Results oriented and highly flexible

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of SAP Sybase Replication, Multiple database platforms would be beneficial.
