Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring open heart surgery and vascular case experience, with weekday hours and weekend call responsibilities.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of an acute care hospital setting
• Averages 6 cases per day, including open heart surgery and vascular procedures
• Day shift hours: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM on weekdays
• Weekend call required
• Duties may include scrub and/or circulating roles, both within and outside the sterile field

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Proficiency in open heart surgery and vascular cases required
• Competency in all circulating duties required
• Basic computer skills with experience in clinical charting systems required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include prepping the OR, positioning patients on the operating table, and completing Safe Surgery checklists
• Serves as the communication liaison between the surgical team and patient families
• Assists with supply and equipment control and maintenance
• Weekend call participation is required as scheduled
