Job Title: Electrical Foreman Job Description
Lead and oversee industrial and large-scale commercial electrical projects while working hands-on as needed. This role combines field leadership, technical expertise, and coordination with other trades to ensure projects run efficiently, safely, and according to specifications and electrical codes.
Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in industrial and large-scale commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to determine work details, specifications, and material needs.
- Act as a working foreman, performing hands-on electrical tasks with tools and equipment when required.
- Keep projects running efficiently by planning work, coordinating tasks, and monitoring progress against schedules.
- Collaborate closely with other trades workers to ensure seamless project coordination and timely completion.
- Provide guidance, support, and on-the-job training to journeymen and apprentices to promote skill development and quality workmanship.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Order and manage materials to ensure crews have the necessary supplies and equipment on site when needed.
- Lead or participate in daily meetings to review project status, progress, safety topics, and upcoming work.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, enforcing safety procedures and best practices across the team.
- Valid journeyman or master electrician license, or equivalent experience in the electrical trade.
- Proven experience in the industrial electrical field, including work on large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety procedures relevant to industrial environments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents accurately.
- Hands-on electrical skills with the ability to perform installation, repair, and maintenance tasks in the field.
- Effective communication skills to lead crews, coordinate with other trades, and participate in daily project meetings.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot electrical issues and implement timely, practical solutions.
- Organizational skills to keep projects running efficiently, manage materials, and track progress.
- Leadership capabilities to direct journeymen and apprentices and maintain high-quality work standards.
- Experience working as a foreman or lead electrician on industrial or large-scale commercial construction projects.
- Comfort working as a hands-on leader who balances supervisory responsibilities with field work.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with other trades and project stakeholders.
- Attention to detail in following project specifications, documenting work, and adhering to safety practices.

Work EnvironmentWork takes place primarily on industrial and large-scale commercial construction sites in regions such as Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska. The role involves being on site with a tool belt on as needed, working alongside other trades in an active construction environment. Expect daily project and safety meetings, adherence to strict safety standards, and a focus on efficient project execution in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Attire typically aligns with standard construction site requirements, including appropriate workwear and safety gear.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Newton, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
