About the Position

Job Title: RN Telemetry I Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: Cardiac-trained RNs with a willingness to train others. Description: This position is for a 30-bed Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry Unit. The RN will be responsible for taking care of patients with a significant history of cardiac disease or related processes. The goal is to stabilize staffing for the Cardiac Telemetry Unit. These travelers will assist with staffing and may help precept new hires as core positions are filled. Many new hires will be RN Residents. Candidates should be engaged and willing to train others. Additionally, travelers may float to Med/Surg if needed. Typical disease processes include chest pain, congestive heart failure, advanced heart failure, and syncope. Patients may require echocardiograms, stress tests, and/or diagnostic and interventional heart catheterization. The unit also handles procedures such as Mitraclip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR. The floor may overflow generalized medicine/surgery patients or care for non-cardiac patients as required.
