Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Mountain View, CA (Onsite)

Position Type: 4-Month Contract-to-Hire Job Summry

STAFFXPERT is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to design, develop, test, and debug high-performance electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in circuit design, board bring-up, hardware debugging, high-speed interfaces, and signal/power integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop power, control, mixed-signal, and high-speed interconnect circuits.
Perform hands-on board bring-up, hardware debugging, verification, and system integration.
Develop and execute test plans to validate board-level and full-system performance.
Apply Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), and Design for Excellence (DfX) principles to improve performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, component vendors, and contract manufacturers.
Participate in design reviews and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and specifications.
Evaluate new components, technologies, and manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience.
Strong proficiency in Altium or equivalent EDA tools for schematic capture and circuit design.
Hands-on experience with physical board bring-up, lab testing, hardware debugging, and signal testing.
Experience with at least one high-speed interface: PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, or SerDes .
Working knowledge of Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), and Design for Excellence (DfX) principles.
Familiarity with PLM workflows and tools , such as Arena.
Understanding of electronics manufacturing, assembly, and testing processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in electrical systems for networking, photonics, or high-performance hardware industries.
Experience with Python or other scripting languages for lab test automation and tool integration.
Experience with advanced hardware characterization and system-level performance optimization.
