Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Interim Critical Care Director - CVICU/ICU/SICU Job Description The Interim Critical Care Director will oversee the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and the future Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). This leadership role requires strong clinical and management experience to ensure optimal patient outcomes and quality care across all critical care units. Responsibilities Manage the operations of CVICU and ICU, preparing for the opening of SICU. Lead quality improvement initiatives, focusing on patient outcomes related to CLABSIs, CAUTIs, VAP, and Sepsis. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission readiness and CMS standards. Oversee budget development and productivity management. Optimize ICU flow and integrate care models across various ICUs. Foster interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient care and team dynamics. Utilize relationship and influence skills to manage cultural transformation and resolve resistance within diverse teams. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure 2 to 5 years of experience as a nurse manager or director. BSN required; MSN or MBA preferred. Clinical or management experience in Medical ICU and CVICU. Current CCRN certification. Proven track record in leading quality improvement initiatives. Knowledge of quality metrics and patient outcomes. Strong skills in budget planning and resource management. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
