Job Summary

Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) — Location: not specified. Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with assignments lasting approximately 13 weeks.
• Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; successful completion of a vocational program for Central Service with certification; Central Service Technician certification required within one year of hire; CRCST or CBSPD certification preferred; BLS certification required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Successful completion of a vocational program for Central Service.
• Additional Skills: Instrumentation, decontamination, assembly, inspection, packaging, sterilization, storage and distribution, cleaning, inventory management, basic computer knowledge, interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, ability to receive and give constructive feedback, re-processing.
• Responsibilities include decontamination, assembly, inspection, packaging, sterilization, storage, distribution of surgical instruments, supporting sterilization activities, maintaining inventory, and adhering to manufacturer guidelines.
