Direct Support Professional

Position Overview REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You’ll join a mission‑driven team and create relationships that motivate us all every day. Compensation Hire wage is $17 hourly. Work Schedule Full time, 2:30 p.m.–10:30 p.m., Monday–Thursday, and every other weekend. Positions include weekend shifts as scheduled. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Six months experience in intellectual disabilities, behavioral health, or mental health preferred. Valid driver's license for at least one year and clean driving record that meets Sevita’s insurability policy. Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance. Strong communication, adaptability, multi‑tasking, teamwork, and time‑management skills. Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible behaviors. Responsibilities Assist people with personal hygiene and provide support to individuals with behavioral challenges and complex needs. Develop meaningful relationships with clients and support them to be part of the community and enjoy activities. Support participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. Take initiative to help participants grow, learn, and live well. Benefits Pay on demand.
