About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI Must-Have: Experience with critical care medications, sedation, Emergency Severity Index, and codes. Advanced skills needed: Experience with STEMI, Stroke, and Sepsis. Preferred experience with Trauma. Description: This position is for an Emergency Room Nurse in a fast-paced emergency department. The unit has 39 beds and a patient ratio of 4:1, with surge beds assigned to each section. The staffing includes a free lead, unit clerk, sitters for behavioral health, paramedics, EMTs, and LPNs. Equipment utilized includes Rapid Infuser and Glidescope. The documentation system in use is Meditech EDM. Scheduling requires every other weekend. Patient experience is a key focus, emphasizing teamwork and individual care. The following procedures are performed on the unit: Intubation, chest tube insertion, and splinting. The required uniform is charcoal grey scrubs. Unit specific policies and guidelines will be provided upon hire.
