Mass Production Engineer

Basic Position Duties

1. Develop mass-production engineering parameters (production, quality) for new business.
2. Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods.
3. Provides on-going technical support to production and maintenance to ensure effective use of production equipment and tooling.
4. Develop and implement countermeasures for claims, IPD's, and downtime.
5. Negotiates with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for the purchase of equipment, materials and parts.
6. Investigate and coordinate Kaizen activities.
7. Work with management, manufacturing, corporate officials and other staff regarding machine capabilities, production schedules, and other cost considerations to facilitate production.
8. Develop the necessary equipment required to produce/assemble precise molded parts and to guarantee the quality of the parts as produced.
9. Must have understanding of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
10. All other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; 5 or more years in a manufacturing/engineering environment. The ideal candidate will have ME experience complimented with a degree. Must have knowledge/skills for basic machine design and computer skills. Must have SolidWorks experience and be able to demonstrate capabilities. Must be available for international and domestic travel.
