Job Summary:
Mechanics at Lamoille Valley Chevrolet are responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of vehicles. This is a full-time position with a four-day work week , located in Hyde Park, Vermont. The individual will work as an individual contributor, and will report to the Service Manager. The compensation for this position is up to $30 per hour, based on experience, paid weekly.

Compensation & Benefits:

FOUR DAY WORK WEEK, every weekend is a three day weekend!!!!

This position offers a competitive salary of up to $30 per hour, paid weekly. Additionally, employees are eligible for benefits such as medical, paid time off, and retirement savings options.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance checks and services on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and tune-ups.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on various vehicles, including engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate with customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
- Stay up-to-date on new technology and techniques in the automotive industry.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in a dealership setting.
- Knowledge of automotive systems and repairs.
- Understanding of diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology and techniques.
- Must have own tools and a valid driver's license.
