Location: UT MAIN CAMPUS

Purpose: Lead and coordinate logistics, communication, materials, and preparation for Dining Students.

Responsibilities:

UHD Dining Student Orientations - Lead and coordinate logistics, communication, materials, and preparation for Dining Student Orientations. Partner with on-site managers, administrators, and student leaders to create and manage orientation schedules, assign facilitators, and confirm logistics for each session. Personally facilitate orientations and location tours as needed to ensure consistency and engagement. Train dining employees and student leaders on-site in how to conduct orientations and deliver effective tours.

Ensure all orientation locations are properly equipped with materials and supplies (e.g., bags, pens, forms) by working directly with managers and admins. Monitor and assess orientation quality by reviewing feedback, confirming attendance, and following up with site contacts. Collaborate with the Associate Director to maintain and update orientation content and materials; ensure content remains accurate, engaging, and accessible. Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for student new hires prior to orientation; answer questions in person, by phone, or via email. Assist in refreshing Student Orientation documents, such as student orientation information, facilitators guides, and student orientation checklists. Provide on-site support during Dining Student Orientations, including setup, facilitation assistance, attendance tracking, and follow-up.

Dining Interviews - Serve as an active member of on-site interview panels for UHD Dining positions. Conduct candidate interviews, evaluate qualifications, and provide informed hiring recommendations to dining leadership. Collaborate with dining and unit leadership to maintain a consistent, and effective interview and selection process. Participate in Student Job Fairs. Administrative and Miscellaneous - Manage Dining Student Orientation tracking and metrics in UTLearn, including creating events, uploading rosters, rescheduling students for new orientation sessions, and monitoring orientation completion. Reserve meeting spaces and create calendar invitations for Dining Student Orientations. Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth coordination of Dining Student Orientations Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

High school graduation or GED. Three years of administrative/clerical experience. Proven ability to exercise independent judgment; ability to exercise discretion, tact and diplomacy, ability to respond effectively within assigned deadlines; and excellent analytical and technical skills.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Ability to work efficiently and flexibly in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and respond to staff, students tactfully, clearly and concisely.

Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.

Professional demeanor with tact and respect at all times.

Ability to address individuals and information with a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality in various situations.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience working with students within University Housing and Dining.

Hourly Rate: $22.00

Work Shift: Hours per week - 40. The work hours are from 8 to 5.
