- Support the daily operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of facility systems, utilities, and manufacturing support equipment.
- Assist with facility expansion projects, equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ support.
- Execute and enhance preventive maintenance programs for facility systems, utilities, controlled environments, and production support equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, calibration documentation, equipment logs, and related records in accordance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Support controlled environment operations, including environmental monitoring, investigation of excursions, and coordination of maintenance activities to minimize operational disruption.
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers performing maintenance, calibration, and repair work.
- Respond promptly to facility and equipment issues to reduce downtime and maintain business continuity.
- Participate in investigations, root cause analyses, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with safety standards, quality requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Support internal and external audits and inspections by providing technical expertise and required documentation.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and other departments to achieve site objectives.
- Assist with spare parts management, inventory control, and vendor coordination.
- Support the implementation and optimization of maintenance management systems (CMMS).
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Facilities, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline) preferred.
- Equivalent technical training and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in facilities, maintenance, or equipment engineering within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting GMP-regulated operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with controlled environments, utility systems, and maintenance best practices.
- Knowledge of facility utility systems, including HVAC, compressed gases, water systems, electrical infrastructure, and environmental controls.
- Understanding of equipment qualification, calibration, preventive maintenance, and documentation practices within regulated industries.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, technical manuals, and related documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external vendors.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Flexibility to support early morning, evening, or occasional off-shift requirements.
- Additional language skills, including Spanish, are advantageous.
- Competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $115,000.
