DAY-TO-DAY

You work 40 hours per week from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm . Weekend work and overtime is available.

No two days are the same for our Refrigeration Service Tech as you spend your days repairing, maintaining, and installing commercial equipment and systems. Working in places like warehouses, restaurants, and grocery stores, you tackle various mechanical and electrical challenges while following blueprints, specifications, and safety standards. As you work on freezers, ice machines, walk-in coolers, and more, you provide great customer service and closely document your work throughout the project.

You leverage your skilled trade knowledge and skillfully use various tools to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, identify the cause of problems, and perform the appropriate services. This includes replacing broken parts, locating and fixing refrigerant leaks, cleaning coils, monitoring temperatures and refrigerant levels, and more. REFRIGERATION SERVICE TECH REQUIREMENTS

• Thorough technical knowledge of thermodynamics principles, electrical systems, and refrigeration components
• Expertise with wrenches, screwdrivers, brazing torches, and specialized tools
• Ability to use diagnostic tools to accurately identify problems
• Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Communication skills with an ability to explain technical issues in layman's terms
